Our Town Mills

The mills of Anson were a crucial part of the regional economy from the mid-19th century until the mid-20th century. The towns' rivers and streams provided waterpower to turn the gears and the roads and railroads to connect the mills to the rest of the region. Anson's long industrial history would not be possible without these mills.
