Athearn Cemetery
Athearn Cemetery was deeded in 1904 to the Town
of Anson. It is still an active cemetery.

Located in Anson on Rt. 43 at the Starks/Anson Town Line.

Beale Cemetery (Private)
This cemetery contains only one burial,
that of Albert S. Beal: 1866 - 1939.

Located in Anson, near Barton Hill.

Cleveland Cemetery
Many stones are missing.
Also known as Dickey Cemetery.

Collins Cemetery
D.A.R. marker of Revolutionary War veteran
Philemon Collins is the only marker.
Located on the north side of Rt. 234 on the sharp curve before Town Farm Rd., North Anson.

Daigle Cemetery (Private)
Located in Anson Village on private property.

Dinsmore Cemetery
Located in Anson, along the Old County Road.

Emery Cemetery
Located on the Horseback Road, Anson.

Gilman Cemetery
Also known as Gilman-Heald Cemetery, Anson.

Located between Anson and Allen's Mills on Rt. 148 on the West Mills Road.

Graveyard Hill
Revolutionary War soldier Jabez Bates was buried here.
This was the first public burial ground in the town of Anson.
It's located behind the Congregational Church , up the hill
and across from the Methodist Church in North Anson village.

Gray Cemetery
Also known as the Gray-Paine Cemetery.
Located between Town Farm Road and the Carrabassett River, North Anson.

Hilton Cemetery
Four Hiltons and one Peabody are buried here.
Located in Anson on Rt. 43 in a field on the right side of the road near the edge of the woods.
Hilton Hill Cemetery

Charles, son of Cyrus & Deborah Bradbury, died April 28 1839, age 1 yr. 3 mos.
Located in Anson on the right near the end of Hilton Hill Road.

Hollon Waite Cemetery
This cemetery contains four burials.
Located off Rt. 234 on the north end of Hollon Waite Rd. on the right, Anson.

Ingall's Cemetery (Private)
Off Hollon Waite Hill directly across from Spencer
Road in the woods, Anson.

McGoff Farm Cemetery
1832 James Andrews deceased Feb 21

There are four slate stones but only one has an inscription.
One of the others was started to be inscribed for the same grave.

Located on the former McGoff farm a few hundred yards south of the old homestead, across the old road on a small knoll, Anson.

Mann Cemetery (Private)
Hannah H., wife Dr. D.D. Mann, died Oct. 17, 1864, AE 46.

Located on the right/east off the Fahi Pond Road, North Anson, on private property.

Moore Cemetery
This was once called Fish Cemetery, not to be confused with the Fish/Rogers-Heald Cemetery
in Anson village.

Located on Rt. 201A at the top of Flint Hill
between Anson and North Anson villages.

Mutton Hill Cemetery
Also known as the Getchell Cemetery from the people that deeded it to the Town, and Walker Cemetery.

Located of the Horseback Road on to Mutton Hill Road, Anson.

Quincy Wood Cemetery
This contains 6 stones of the Wood family.

Located off Rt. 234 on the Horseback Road to
Quincy Wood Road, Anson.

Quint Cemetery (Private)
Also known as Old Cleveland Cemetery.
Mr. William Quint, died Sept. 12, 1830, AEt. 72.
There are several other broken slate stones in the
same row indicating burials but no markings.
Plus these 2 stones believed to be Getchells:

village and the Embden town line.

Rogers & Heald Cemetery
Also know as the Fish Cemetery.
Located near the top of the hill by the intersection
of Hilltop Road and Horseback Road, Anson.

Smith Cemetery (Private)
Located off the Horseback Road, Anson.

Spaulding Cemetery
Located on the original Ephriam Spaulding farm. These
stones were ordered and delivered by the Marble Monument
Co. (13:102) in Skowhegan, Maine. Two small stones
were set on a larger base 1.5 miles above the Patterson
Bridge on the farm.

These appear to be long lost.

Located on the right/south side of 201A, north of the
Kennebec River, 3rd house from the Embden-Anson town line.

Spencer Cemetery (Private)
Simeon Spenser, died, Dec. 27, 1851, AE 61.
There are several other slate stones but no markings on them to indicate those buried there.

Located off Spencer Rd., Anson, on private property.

Sunset Cemetery
Sunset Cemetery was opened in November 1835. The first burial was Rev. James Hall.
It is still an active cemetery.
Located on Fahi Pond Rd. (former Pleasant Street) beside the former railroad tracks,
North Anson.

Tinkham Cemetery (Private)
Located in Anson off Pease Hill Road on private property.
